Marriage in Saint Thomas Church. Contact us at least three months before you are planning to get married. Bring your baptism certificate. We ask you for a marriage preparation of 6 or 7 meetings that you can do with us or in a different parish. We offer you a book with all the marriage ceremony in czech and english.

What is necessary for a Church wedding:

1. you need to be Roman Catholic (at least one of you)
2. the Preparation
3. the Prenuptial Enquiry

The Catholic parish in your hometown may you offer a course of preparation and also to fill with you the prenuptial enquiry.

The preparation usually consists of some discussions about christian life, marriage life and the conditions and consequences of this Holy union.

Your local parish priest may send you to a special course for couples if they have not it in the Parish.

The prenuptial enquiry is a document, which contains your baptismal certificates and a witness that states you are able to get married. This documents your Parish must send to the Archbishop of Prague. The adress is:
